Children from age 6 attend Summit Saturday School. Classes are offered in Literacy and numeracy at Key stage one, English, science and mathematics at Key Stage 2. The 11 Plus course includes Verbal Reasoning, Non Verbal Reasoning, Mathematics and English , Key Stage 3 course offers Science, mathematics and English, GCSE, AS and A2 pupils have the choice of physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics and English language and literature.
Building foundations early in life at Summit prepares pupils to excel in SATs and 11 plus examinations. We appreciate that the 11+ exam is crucial for entry to grammar and private school and we offer a specialist scholarship course. Key Stage 3 classes build on the solid foundations laid down in the preceding years at Summit. Key Stage 3 English focuses on more complex areas of language. Key Stage 3 Mathematics introduces new strategies and gets the pupils prepared for higher levels in learning. Key Stage 3 Science introduces more complex topics to the student. A Level Maths is popular allowing students the time and support required to achieve A grades. A level English Literature classes are small and must be booked very early in the autumn term. A level Science is provided through separate classes for Physics , Biology and Chemistry. The A Level Courses are offered as a 2 hour session during the term.

A Level Retakes or A Level resits are quite commonplace for students who want to improve their grade. To resit an A level paper as a private candidate we recommend that the initial enquiry i should be made as early as possible.

GCSE subjects such as mathematics and science are sometimes available for ressit in November. GCSE resit must be checked with the examination for availabliliy in November. Some schools allow GCSE retake of certain subjects though they are not compelled to. GCSE resit is possible by registering as a private candidate
