The subjects we offer are listed above.
UMS
Depending of the difficulty of an exam in a given year, raw marks are converted to UMS points to obtain the overall grade.
Your school or collage may have shown you a conversion table to give you an idea of how many marks you need to achieve a particular grade, i.e. A*.
If you are aware of this you know what to aim for, and when you receive your Statement of Results you will see instantly how many ums points you have achieved and the relevant grade. This is useful information in deciding which units to retake.
There is agreement between the inter-awarding bodies on percentages and maximum ums grade boundary for A Level. The uniform mark grade boundaries in A-level are always at the following percentages of the maximum uniform mark for the unit or qualification:
A 80%
B 70%
C 60%
D 50%
E 40%
Also by inter-awarding body agreement, the maximum uniform marks are:
• 600 for a six unit Advanced qualification
• 400 for a four unit Advanced qualification
• 200 for a two unit Advanced qualification.
Finding a Recognised Private Centre to retake an examination as a private candidate is quite easy. A list of Centres is available on the AQA website. You can also contact a number of private sixth form colleges who may also offer additional services, such as practical, language orals or coursework. There are a few suggestions below:
