Summit’s 11 Plus Examination Success
We would like to congratulate all our year 6 pupils on their excellent 11 plus examination results and in particular Shanae and Keziah who between them received a total of seven offers from private, selective grammar and state schools. Keziah has broken previous records held at our school by receiving a 100% academic bursary from Alleyns school in Dulwich.
Both students joined the 11 Plus Scholarship Course in 2009. They were in the same class and when Summit was invited to participate in the quest to find Britain’s brightest Year 6 pupil, both participated, along with others in the eleven plus exam class.
Their initial assessment identified the strengths and weaknesses of both girls and throughout the 11+ Exam Course, emphasis was placed on these areas. Working with our expert teachers all pupils are inspired and motivated. They discover in themselves confidence and inner resources they were not aware they had. Shanae and Keziah’s confidence has rocketed, this is a core benefit of the teaching methods at Summit Saturday School.
Working in a small class situation brings unique benefits. Pupils receive individual attention and are able to gauge their progress against that of others in the class. This often makes them more determined to succeed.
The fact that both girls have received so many offers is a testimony to the relevance of the 11 Plus Scholarship Course at Summit Saturday School, giving choice and control to parents and their children.
