Guidelines for GCSE, iGCSE  and A LEVEL EXAMINATIONS

Important Information for Candidates

Summit Saturday School is a Registered Centre for the awarding bodies.  These guidlines relate to the day of your examination.

  • You must bring your ID document(s) with you to the examination and be prepared to produce them on inspection by JCQ Inspectors.
  • The examination venue is : Summit Saturday School, c/o The Family Centre, Hartington Road, SW8 2EX
  •  You are advised to familiarise yourself with the venue in advance and not leave it until the day of the examination.

The date of your examination will be confirmed on your Statement of Entry, which will be sent to you as soon as it is available from the awarding body.  It is an important document which you must keep safe and bring to the examination.  The duration of your examination will be shown on your Statement of Entry.  It is advisable to arrive at least 15 – 30 minutes before the start of the examination.  Morning examinations start at 09.00am.  Afternoon examinations start at 1.00pm.

The Examination Room:  On arrival, if you have a mobile phone or other digital device, switch it off and hand it to the Invigilator.  Bring the required equipment and writing materials for your examination.  We do not provide pens, rulers or calculators.  Calculators must be free of lids and memory cleared, cases and covers which have printed instructions must be removed. You are allowed a bottle of water on your desk which must be transparent with no outer labels.
