I found Summit online after a long search for the right place for my twin boys Luc and Eric. My husband and I were not sure they would be accepted, and we were happy, when the email confirmation arrived. The boys learned so much, gained confidence and just blossomed. They are happy and eager to go to Saturday school to meet their friends and teachers every Saturday morning. This course is “priceless”.

I was off-rolled from my school due to low attendance as a result of an anxiety disorder, a matter of months before my A Level examinations. I was predicted 3 Us from the school and was unsure if I’d even be able to sit my exams due to both the anxiety and the lack of access to a centre. Thankfully, my mum found out about Summit and I was registered as a private candidate. Mrs Stewart quickly gave me all the information I needed about exam dates and locations. I was instantly made to feel at ease when the exam period started, by both Mrs Stewart and the examinations team. This made a monumental difference as writing a good exam is incredibly difficult when you’re experiencing high anxiety, and is exacerbated by being in a stressful environment such as a busy exam hall.

I managed to sit all of my exams, which would not have been possible if it wasn’t for the support and kindness I received. I ended up with A*BB with results sent very promptly (cutting out further stress of the anticipation), and received a scholarship to my first choice university. This was only possible due to Summit, and I cannot recommend them more.

I would like to thank Mrs. Stewart and her fantastic team of teachers in supporting my 2 boys aged 12/14 years. We joined Summit last year after many years of using other methods, such as Kumon and one-to-one tutoring at our home. We spent a lot of money and achieved varying results.

When my children joined secondary school, they seemed to be struggling with the end of term tests, so again I began the search for additional support and was fortunate to stumble across Summit. I was extremely encouraged by the reviews of parents and children using Summit and what Summit could offer, but equally what was expected from us as a family. Meeting Mrs. Stewart was instrumental in my decision to join the Summit Saturday School. She understood our plight and demonstrated a commitment from the moment we met, to help us work towards the required knowledge to meet the challenges of secondary school.

Mrs. Stewart allows the children to have a voice and input in their learning experience. She is a dedicated teacher, educator, and mentor in every sense of the word to both children and parents and understands the challenges of the education system and how parents feel lost in what direction to take when their children are struggling. I now have every confidence my boys will achieve their full potential and no longer fear them failing due to not understanding what is required to get through the various hurdles to exam success.

My boys initially struggled with the idea of coming to school on a Saturday, but now they just they get on with it and their schoolwork reflects a better understanding and confidence. Every now and then I hear my boys say they did well in a lesson, followed up by “I learned that at Summit.” There is still a long way to go, but we know we are in the right place to achieve the best results all round. Thank you Summit!

As a teacher at Summit I refined my creative approach to teaching by encouraging the students to draw upon their own life experiences within the class.

The students I worked with showed tremendous enthusiasm and made rapid progress.  Students wrote about their holiday experiences and - delightful memories, whilst harnessing the skills required for their GCSEs.

Summit reinvigorated my passion to teach whilst delivering excellent results for the students.  It has been a great learning curve and one that  I cherish.  As a team we delivered lessons with practical learning taking place rather than students just completing repetitive worksheets.  This led to students coming to class on Saturday with a genuine passion.  I am certain that the students we worked with will prosper academically and contribute immensely to society in the future.

Summit is a very supportive school that has given children the ability to analyse and improve on their work.  Classes are kept small which benefit the pupils a great deal where one to one is needed.  I like the idea that classes are held in a classroom environment, in a school with qualified teachers who teach according to the national curriculum, and also that exams are held at the end of term.

Since my son joined Summit in February 2018, the transition and progress that my son has made has been remarkable, and enjoyable for him.  He is now comfortable at being able to tackle his work not only at Summit but also at school.  He has gone up two grades in maths and achieved a grade higher than his target grade in English.  He enjoys going to Summit every Saturday morning, and regards his teachers very highly.

We wish we had enrolled him in Summit  sooner, rather than hiring private tutors to teach him at home.  I encourage all parents that can, to please give this opportunity to your child to help them progress and improve on their Maths and English.

"I think Summit is a very nice place to come and learn.  You learn a lot of things, a lot of skills.  For me personally, let me take you back a year ago.  A year ago, I thought my life was over because it was so hard for me to learn, so hard for me to do things but, since I came to Summit my life has just changed so much  over the past year.  My grades have improved , everything has improved, everything, everything in my life has been better since I have come to Summit.  If you want to come to Summit, and do better things, get better grades, be better at anything you want to be better at, come to Summit because I guarantee you Summit will improve your grades like you never thought possible.

For me, I thought it was impossible but, since I came to Summit my grades have improved!  Maths, English, Science, everything!  Even though I don't do Science, I still use my talents  that I have from Summit to put into other subjects.  Summit, I don't know what to say about Summit, if I could do anything for Summit, I would do it because it is such a good place to come and learn and it has given me so much.  I recommend it to all you people out there.  Thank you."

“I am relieved to tell you Joe has passed all his 5 GCSEs and I must express my appreciation to you and your team for helping him to achieve his goal.
My only regret is that I did not know about your school while he was in his secondary school. I am sure the outcome would have been different.”

Summit is good, and like its good if you want to learn and if you want to get into a nice school, you can achieve it. My dad says It’s worth the money and it helps. On the last day we have fun and get sweets. The teachers are nice, and they are kind. They take time to come here to teach us and they are patient. I learn a lot and I enjoy it.

I like the premises, it's beneficial to learning, being at a university it gives a good feeling when I walk in in the morning. We live nearby and can walk it or take the bus.

The teachers are always on time, they are always here. Thy are knowledgeable, enthusiastic devoted and caring towards my son. The work is good quality, fair and appropriate.

I found Summit on Google after a long search for the right person or place for my son. I read the reviews and straight away it made me feel that it's ‘not just about the money, it’s about the children “. That encouraged me to call. The person I spoke to was so friendly and helpful that I immediately booked an assessment. Leo is happy here. He has matured and grown into it (he was reluctant when I told him he was starting Saturday school, preferring to play with friends at the weekend). He has grown into it and likes his teachers. In his report, the comments were very encouraging – in contrast to his school, where I am not told anything different. I can see the difference in my son and would recommend Summit, especially the teachers.

I would like to thank you for making my lessons enjoyable. I never enjoyed English at school and never thought I would enjoy it, but then you taught me.
I would also like to thank you for helping me achieve what I thought was impossible, a top grade in GCSE English.
All the best

I initially found Summit by searching online for a Saturday school (and was also recommended by a family friend). I was looking for additional support for my son in Year 7 English because his transition into secondary had been challenging and he wasn’t fulfilling his potential. Following a consultation with the Headteacher, Mrs. Stewart, and a one-hour assessment, my son was placed in a small class. His assessment identified the areas he needed support with and he began to thrive in the class, with the support of his English tutor. He really enjoyed travelling to LSE to attend his weekly sessions and found the lessons thought provoking and interesting. He received an excellent end of term report and Summit has equipped him the discipline of attending Saturday classes now that he is at boarding school. I highly recommend Summit School.

‘The best thing about the Summit school are the teachers.

The teachers are creative in the way they teach the lessons.

They use a range of techniques to ensure that we understand what is being taught. They ensure we understand what is being taught before we move on.

They also take time to support me with topics I am learning at school.  For example, for a recent exam my English teacher took time to help me revise important aspects of a book that I was due to be examined on.

I enjoy that the classes are small {compared to my school during the week}as I get more individual attention and support.”

“My son has been attending Summit Saturday school for the past two years. As parents, we wanted him to be above average and stay ahead of his key stage.

I discovered Summit Saturday School after doing a detailed Internet search as well as interviewing /visiting several Saturday schools in London. I was mindful to find a school that not only could raise the academic achievement of my son but also had a warm and personalised approach to education. In my view Summit Saturday School is the only school that fitted this criterion.

My impression from my initial conversation with the principal was that she was genuinely interested in my son's educational journey and wanted to be a part of his future success.
She guaranteed me at that point, that Summit Saturday School could guarantee my son's success.

The Principal and teachers at Summit Saturday School are first class. They are all approachable, professional and invested in our children’s education.

The environment of the London School of Economics is first class. I am very pleased to be able to offer my son support at such a prestigious institution.

My son’s journey to Summit Saturday School takes approximately 20 minutes from our home. He meets his friends on the way to Summit and they travel together.

In terms of his progress, we started noticing an improvement in his maths and English within three weeks of him starting at Summit. His teachers at school started contacting me to highlight his progress. His achievements included being chosen to represent his school at a public speaking competition at the American School in London and being taught at an accelerated maths group within his year

The progress he made in school was noticeable and this prompted teachers to call home to ask what we were doing differently to boost his progress

Since joining Summit my son has become more confident about his school work especially since Summit follows the National curriculum quite closely. The homework set by Summit reinforces his knowledge and skills. I am kept updated by the detailed reports which reminds me that there is maximum scope for my son to progress.

My son is also clear that he wishes to attend university in the future.
He loves studying and the environment of LSE helps him to aspire to achieve his full potential. He has also developed links with LSE via their mentoring scheme. If he had not attended Summit Saturday school, these opportunities would not have been open to him.

My son is very happy at Summit Saturday School and looks forward to seeing his friends every Saturday.

I have recommended Summit Saturday School to my friends and colleagues and the local community “I’m so happy I found Summit Saturday School and will continue to support them.”

I want a good education for my son and that is why I looked for a place to get him the extra help he needs. He is a bright child. I am so tired in the evening there is no time or energy to help him.

I was delighted when I found Summit Saturday School on a google search. I read what other parents and children had to say and was particularly drawn to the small classes that they have.

It was hard work to persuade Daniel to go to school an extra day but, the moment he got to Summit Saturday School he liked it and wanted to go back. I don’t know what it is about the environment but all the children seem happy and are very friendly. We have not looked back since.

Within a few short weeks his teachers at school asked me if he was getting help somewhere because they noticed a big change in him. My son is confident, happy and doing very well in school. I actually think he surprises at himself at times. My child and I have got value at Summit, brimming over.

Due to Medical problems, I was asked to leave my college and was therefore unable to do my second year of A-Level exams. I had lost all hope of going to university that September and was at a loss but, that was until I heard about Summit! Unlike my teachers at college, who did not believe in me and have the faith that I would pass.

The principal of Summit Saturday School (Mrs Stewart) did believe in me and gave me the opportunity to sit my exams as a private candidate. The thought of being a private candidate overwhelmed me as I had always sat exams in school and didn’t know what to expect. However, Mrs Stewart put me at ease and made the whole process un-complicated.

As soon as I paid for my exams I received my Statement of Entry and all the exam dates. I was shown where I could find material to assist me with my studies i.e. Specifications, Past papers and Mark Schemes which were all a great help! As time grew nearer to my exams the more nervous I got, but the confidence Mrs Stewart and previous students of Summit Saturday School had in me assured me and pushed me harder to ensure I achieved my goals.

The procedures Summit Saturday School have in place for external exams are flawless! Everything ran smoothly and according to plan! I managed to sit all 8 of my exams and I have never been happier. I can proudly say I am going to Hertfordshire University to study an LLB Law degree.  Without Summit Saturday School this would not have been made possible at this stage in my life. Summit Saturday School gave me the opportunity to follow my dreams and the whole experience could not have been made better.  Summit’s motto is: ‘we give you the tools to climb mountains’ and they certainly do! Sitting my exams at Summit, taught me whatever life throws at you to never give up, with focus and hard work you will achieve what you want in life.

I have been at Summit for the past three years and I haven’t regretted a single moment. I first started when I was in Year 9 and approaching GCSE level. To be honest, I was quite reluctant to start Summit all those years ago. The reason for that is, when I was first told the news that I would have to wake up early on my precious Saturday mornings I was upset, I felt to myself that the world was coming to an end!

However, at the age of 17 and having ‘A’ grade GCSEs and AS Qualifications, in English Literature, history and sociology under my belt, I can honestly say that being a student at Summit has been more than worth its while. The reason being is that without a disciplined yet relaxed environment, I wouldn’t have the same strengthened focus to target my academic aims.

I can now see that the hours that I received at my comprehensive school weren’t nearly enough for me to absorb all the intellectual information that I required. In addition to the hours, being in a room full of competitive students I found it hard to concentrate or complete class work that had been set for the lesson, simply because the teachers’ time was consumed by other students. And that is where Summit steps in. In a classroom of only a handful of children, life is much better. Any work related problems are solved at Summit and professional help in a pleasant atmosphere completes my learning to the maximum. Although I am set homework every week, after being given the unlimited educational support that I need, I am motivated to complete anything that is given to me.

I can honestly say that over the past years my confidence has rocketed. I am able to wake up on my Saturday mornings with a genuine drive to do well, in a fun and happy environment – factors which I think are key to ensuring academic success.

Thank you so much for taking the trouble to adjust the level of tuition for Johannes.

He returned after his Saturday lessons full of enthusiasm about the teachers and the learning environment. As his current troubles at school seem to have resulted less from lack of ability but a certain absence of effort and energy in class and in dealing with his homework, I am so grateful to you and your staff for enabling Johannes to experience and exhibit a different mindset during lessons.

I’ve attended Summit Saturday School for the past three years where I have studied English, Mathematics and science with specialist teachers who have helped further my learning. The impact of their teaching has complimented the work I am learning at my mainstream school and this shows because I am often one of the top in my class when it comes to certain topics.

As well as learning the core subjects Summit has also taught me other skills, such as communication, teamwork, presentations and networking. These are all skills which are transferable and will be useful later on in life.

Through Summit I have been able to take part in workshops linked to the business industry. I have been to various workshops at Citi Roots in Canary Wharf and I was invited to the House of Lords to participate in a Roundtable Meeting to discuss possible changes to the stop and search law. I would like to thank Mrs Stewart in particular for her continued efforts to develop business links and encourage me to lead by example. I would also like to thank my parents and family members who support me throughout Summit Saturday School. I am also grateful for the help I have received from all the professionals and companies who support Summit Saturday School..

My impression of Summit is that it has certainly helped Ashwin considerably in his mathematics and non-verbal reasoning.  Basically what he was missing he has gained in techniques to solve complex problems.  As far as I can see the teaching methods are good.  He is taught by very good teachers and has made considerable progress.  I will continue to send him here even after he has completed his 11+ examinations, regardless of which secondary school he goes to.  It's certainly worth it.

I would recommend Summit.  It’s certainly worth coming to Summit to boost the ability of children.

I feel good about coming to Summit on Saturday morning.  I would come anyway because it improves me and it’s sort of fun.

The teachers here are nice and if you get stuck they help you.  The other children are nice too. Coming to Summit has helped me because now I find tests easier and I know better methods of doing things. It has helped me a lot in mathematics and non-verbal reasoning, because you don’t just get told the answers you learn to reason things out.  That is why I find non-verbal reasoning much easier now. I have learnt a lot in 6 months

At the time my daughter started Summit, her confidence in her academic ability was low. The teachers at Summit Saturday School have helped her raise her confidence by supporting her in every possible way. At Summit the teachers not only guide students in their academic subjects, they importantly tap into each child’s individual potential and bring out the greatness of every child. My daughter has learnt how to use knowledge in creative ways, which she takes from Summit and applies to her everyday learning. It is not just a Saturday school; the teachers are always at the end of the telephone line to support the pupils.
