I would like to thank Mrs. Stewart and her fantastic team of teachers in supporting my 2 boys aged 12/14 years. We joined Summit last year after many years of using other methods, such as Kumon and one-to-one tutoring at our home. We spent a lot of money and achieved varying results.

When my children joined secondary school, they seemed to be struggling with the end of term tests, so again I began the search for additional support and was fortunate to stumble across Summit. I was extremely encouraged by the reviews of parents and children using Summit and what Summit could offer, but equally what was expected from us as a family. Meeting Mrs. Stewart was instrumental in my decision to join the Summit Saturday School. She understood our plight and demonstrated a commitment from the moment we met, to help us work towards the required knowledge to meet the challenges of secondary school.

Mrs. Stewart allows the children to have a voice and input in their learning experience. She is a dedicated teacher, educator, and mentor in every sense of the word to both children and parents and understands the challenges of the education system and how parents feel lost in what direction to take when their children are struggling. I now have every confidence my boys will achieve their full potential and no longer fear them failing due to not understanding what is required to get through the various hurdles to exam success.

My boys initially struggled with the idea of coming to school on a Saturday, but now they just they get on with it and their schoolwork reflects a better understanding and confidence. Every now and then I hear my boys say they did well in a lesson, followed up by “I learned that at Summit.” There is still a long way to go, but we know we are in the right place to achieve the best results all round. Thank you Summit!

As a teacher at Summit I refined my creative approach to teaching by encouraging the students to draw upon their own life experiences within the class.

The students I worked with showed tremendous enthusiasm and made rapid progress.  Students wrote about their holiday experiences and – delightful memories, whilst harnessing the skills required for their GCSEs.

Summit reinvigorated my passion to teach whilst delivering excellent results for the students.  It has been a great learning curve and one that  I cherish.  As a team we delivered lessons with practical learning taking place rather than students just completing repetitive worksheets.  This led to students coming to class on Saturday with a genuine passion.  I am certain that the students we worked with will prosper academically and contribute immensely to society in the future.

Summit is a very supportive school that has given children the ability to analyse and improve on their work.  Classes are kept small which benefit the pupils a great deal where one to one is needed.  I like the idea that classes are held in a classroom environment, in a school with qualified teachers who teach according to the national curriculum, and also that exams are held at the end of term.

Since my son joined Summit in February 2018, the transition and progress that my son has made has been remarkable, and enjoyable for him.  He is now comfortable at being able to tackle his work not only at Summit but also at school.  He has gone up two grades in maths and achieved a grade higher than his target grade in English.  He enjoys going to Summit every Saturday morning, and regards his teachers very highly.

We wish we had enrolled him in Summit  sooner, rather than hiring private tutors to teach him at home.  I encourage all parents that can, to please give this opportunity to your child to help them progress and improve on their Maths and English.

“I think Summit is a very nice place to come and learn.  You learn a lot of things, a lot of skills.  For me personally, let me take you back a year ago.  A year ago, I thought my life was over because it was so hard for me to learn, so hard for me to do things but, since I came to Summit my life has just changed so much  over the past year.  My grades have improved , everything has improved, everything, everything in my life has been better since I have come to Summit.  If you want to come to Summit, and do better things, get better grades, be better at anything you want to be better at, come to Summit because I guarantee you Summit will improve your grades like you never thought possible.

For me, I thought it was impossible but, since I came to Summit my grades have improved!  Maths, English, Science, everything!  Even though I don’t do Science, I still use my talents  that I have from Summit to put into other subjects.  Summit, I don’t know what to say about Summit, if I could do anything for Summit, I would do it because it is such a good place to come and learn and it has given me so much.  I recommend it to all you people out there.  Thank you.”

“I am relieved to tell you Joe has passed all his 5 GCSEs and I must express my appreciation to you and your team for helping him to achieve his goal.
My only regret is that I did not know about your school while he was in his secondary school. I am sure the outcome would have been different.”

I would like to thank you for making my lessons enjoyable. I never enjoyed English at school and never thought I would enjoy it, but then you taught me.
I would also like to thank you for helping me achieve what I thought was impossible, a top grade in GCSE English.
All the best

‘The best thing about the Summit school are the teachers.

The teachers are creative in the way they teach the lessons.

They use a range of techniques to ensure that we understand what is being taught. They ensure we understand what is being taught before we move on.

They also take time to support me with topics I am learning at school.  For example, for a recent exam my English teacher took time to help me revise important aspects of a book that I was due to be examined on.

I enjoy that the classes are small {compared to my school during the week}as I get more individual attention and support.”

“My son has been attending Summit Saturday school for the past two years. As parents, we wanted him to be above average and stay ahead of his key stage.

I discovered Summit Saturday School after doing a detailed Internet search as well as interviewing /visiting several Saturday schools in London. I was mindful to find a school that not only could raise the academic achievement of my son but also had a warm and personalised approach to education. In my view Summit Saturday School is the only school that fitted this criterion.

My impression from my initial conversation with the principal was that she was genuinely interested in my son’s educational journey and wanted to be a part of his future success.
She guaranteed me at that point, that Summit Saturday School could guarantee my son’s success.

The Principal and teachers at Summit Saturday School are first class. They are all approachable, professional and invested in our children’s education.

The environment of the London School of Economics is first class. I am very pleased to be able to offer my son support at such a prestigious institution.

My son’s journey to Summit Saturday School takes approximately 20 minutes from our home. He meets his friends on the way to Summit and they travel together.

In terms of his progress, we started noticing an improvement in his maths and English within three weeks of him starting at Summit. His teachers at school started contacting me to highlight his progress. His achievements included being chosen to represent his school at a public speaking competition at the American School in London and being taught at an accelerated maths group within his year

The progress he made in school was noticeable and this prompted teachers to call home to ask what we were doing differently to boost his progress

Since joining Summit my son has become more confident about his school work especially since Summit follows the National curriculum quite closely. The homework set by Summit reinforces his knowledge and skills. I am kept updated by the detailed reports which reminds me that there is maximum scope for my son to progress.

My son is also clear that he wishes to attend university in the future.
He loves studying and the environment of LSE helps him to aspire to achieve his full potential. He has also developed links with LSE via their mentoring scheme. If he had not attended Summit Saturday school, these opportunities would not have been open to him.

My son is very happy at Summit Saturday School and looks forward to seeing his friends every Saturday.

I have recommended Summit Saturday School to my friends and colleagues and the local community “I’m so happy I found Summit Saturday School and will continue to support them.”

Thank you so much for taking the trouble to adjust the level of tuition for Johannes.

He returned after his Saturday lessons full of enthusiasm about the teachers and the learning environment. As his current troubles at school seem to have resulted less from lack of ability but a certain absence of effort and energy in class and in dealing with his homework, I am so grateful to you and your staff for enabling Johannes to experience and exhibit a different mindset during lessons.

I’ve attended Summit Saturday School for the past three years where I have studied English, Mathematics and science with specialist teachers who have helped further my learning. The impact of their teaching has complimented the work I am learning at my mainstream school and this shows because I am often one of the top in my class when it comes to certain topics.

As well as learning the core subjects Summit has also taught me other skills, such as communication, teamwork, presentations and networking. These are all skills which are transferable and will be useful later on in life.

Through Summit I have been able to take part in workshops linked to the business industry. I have been to various workshops at Citi Roots in Canary Wharf and I was invited to the House of Lords to participate in a Roundtable Meeting to discuss possible changes to the stop and search law. I would like to thank Mrs Stewart in particular for her continued efforts to develop business links and encourage me to lead by example. I would also like to thank my parents and family members who support me throughout Summit Saturday School. I am also grateful for the help I have received from all the professionals and companies who support Summit Saturday School..
